sock-mcp lets an agent message through sock as a puppet, over stdio.

sock_whoami, sock_list_conversations, sock_send, sock_fetch, sock_ack.

sock-mcp --outbound-only serves only sock_whoami, sock_list_conversations and sock_send, for an agent running beside sock listen.

Messaging the owner

sock_send without conversation_id messages the owner. It is refused unless SOCK_MCP_MESSAGE_OWNER is 1 or true in the server's environment. The hub rate limits puppet posts to the owner's direct conversation.

Configuration

SOCK_TOKEN and SOCK_URL from the environment. When SOCK_TOKEN is unset, sock-mcp reads the CLI config file and uses the first of machine_key or puppet_token. The token only goes to the URL it was saved with.
